Nick is the founder of Alpha Power Advisers, which focuses on developing better transparency, liquidity, and understanding of markets for long-term electricity prices, including power purchase agreements, virtual PPAs, and financial derivatives.
Prior to starting Alpha Power Advisers in 2019, Nick ran the client energy derivatives business of Koch Supply & Trading, LP, where he was involved in markets for oil and refined products, natural gas and natural gas liquids, petrochemicals and ethanol. He has worked closely with corporate risk managers hedging their exposure to energy prices, as well as with various investors seeking to add exposure in these markets.
Prior to trading at Koch, Nick was an economist and research analyst covering energy markets with JP Morgan’s commodity derivatives desk.
Nick has a Masters degree in Economics from NYU and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Hamilton College.
